3rd Annual Congaree Bluegrass FestivalCongaree Bluegrass Festival

The Congaree Bluegrass Festival is a daylong, family-oriented festival.  The event will take place on Saturday, October 1, 2011 at Granby Gardens Park located in the Cayce City Hall Complex at 1800 12th Street.  The Festival will run from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and feature music from the Steep Canyon Rangers, Bill Wells and the Blueridge Mountain Grass, New Dixie Storm and the Carolina Rebels.  The Capital City Cloggers will perform and there will be a Band Scramble contest with prizes awarded.  Food vendors, special exhibits from the Cayce Historical Museum and free tours of the Museum, also located on the complex, will round out the event.  The activities are free of charge, except food and drink.  Citizens and visitors are invited to bring their lawn chairs or blankets, but coolers and pets are not allowed.
