AT THE LEXINGTON COUNTY MUSEUM
The Friends of the Lexington County Museum cordially invite you to their 12th annual old-fashioned Christmas Open House at the Museum on Fox Street in Lexington, Sunday, December 12, 2010, 2-5 p.m. Added to the tour this year will be the newly restored “Ellen’s Quarters.” This is a small building attached to the rear of the Fox House that was once the quarters of a slave named Ellen. This new exhibit will detail slavery as it existed on the property. The Museum on Fox Street—seven acres and 36 buildings—is off Columbia Avenue (Hwy 378) in the heart of Lexington, and the Open House is free to the public. For inquiries, call the Museum office, 359-8369.
