Black History Program: 6:00pm Saturday at Wesley United Methodist Church, 1725 Gervais Street Founded in 1869, Wesley is home to the oldest African-American Methodist congregation in Columbia. The sanctuary was built in 1910, designed by noted architect Arthur Hamby, and features two asymmetrical towers, decorative brickwork and pointed-arch stained glass windows.
