Book Launch Party
The Mitchell House and Gardens will host a Book Launch Party for "Together in Heaven," a new book by Karen Petit, a children's writer from Columbia. The book explains death to children through the eyes of a dog whose human mother has died. The sweet illustrations in this book capture the love that Dixie has for her mommy and also take a child through the range of emotions that one feels when a loved one dies. It takes a difficult subject and makes it understandable through the eyes of a character whom children will love. from 2 ? 4 Sunday, Oct. 5. The public is invited, and people will have the opportunity to meet the author and the book?s star, Dixie.
