Sponsored by the Lexington SERTOMA Club A hearing loss can affect many aspects of our lives. Most critically, communication with our family, friends and co-workers can be very challenging, especially in less than ideal listening situations. At this FREE community education program we will discuss: ? How a hearing loss affects communication ? Tips to make communication easier ? Clinical aspects of the hearing evaluation ? How anatomical structures associated with hearing are affected with age classification system associated with a hearing loss ? How amplification and communication repair strategies can help those with hearing losses ? How we can address the ill-effects of hearing loss. ? Details about a unique hearing health care project called ?Hear Here Alabama? that could be replicated in our community
Location:
Greater Lexington Chamber and Visitors Center. Now includes a hearing loop to accommodate the needs of people with hearing aids and cochlear implants. Telecoil needs to be activated to access the hearing loop
