Event Description:
Lexington County Solid Waste Management announcement:  February Electronics Collection and Paper Shredding for Lexington County Residents will be on Saturday, February 21, 2015. County of Lexington Solid Waste Management, in partnership with Keep the Midlands Beautiful, will be hosting an electronics waste recycling event for Lexington County residents. This event will include paper shredding, sponsored by Pratt Recycling. The recycling event will beheld on Saturday, February 21, 2015 from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm at 1070 South Lake Drive (Red Bank Crossing Parking Lot), Lexington, SC 29073.

Up to 8 items per visit will be accepted for recycling from Lexington County residents and small businesses: 
  1. Computers (laptops, monitors, CPU's, keyboards, printers, scanners)
  2. TV's
  3. Copiers
  4. VCR and DVD Players
  5. Fax Machines 
  6. Telephone Systems
  7. Cell Phones 
Household electronics including stereo's, Radio's, PDA's and Electronic Game Systems

Electronic Waste MUST be recycled and NOT placed in the garbage in accordance with the SC Code of Law, 48-60-05 et seq. Residents should keep electronics intact for the purpose of recycling. Electronic waste must have been generated from within Lexington County for this event. Please, NO refrigeration units of ANY kind.
