Name: GETAWAY WEEKEND IN SC: Fourth of July fireworks over a harbor, or a waterfall
Date: July 4, 2014
Event Description:
GETAWAY WEEKEND IN SC: Fourth of July fireworks over a harbor, or a waterfall: If you've experienced the Fourth of July fireworks shows at the Lexington County Peach Festival or Fort Jackson several times, consider starting the holiday weekend this year "ooohing" and "aaahing" at one of the OTHER large fireworks shows in the state. CHARLESTON - The BIG show is launched from a barge in the Cooper River. Want the best view? Pay $30.00 for a spot  on the battleship Yorktown on the edge of the harbor. But any spot on the waterfront works. Because of the flat topography of the coast, just about any rooftop in the area also offers a good view. Keep an eye on the weather forecast, but Tropical Storm Arthur could be well clear of the S.C. coast by Friday night.
Location:
Charleston, Cooper River
Date/Time Information:
Friday, July 4, 2014
Fees/Admission:
$30.00 if you want to reserve a spot on the battleship Yorktown for a great view.
