Boyd Davis will pour following wines,
Folie A Deux Zinfandel - Amador County, California @$12.99/btl
This hand crafted Zin showcases rich, ripe blackberries and plums infused with clove, vanilla, and anise spice. A powerful, yet balanced mouth feel gives way to a silky smooth finish of spicy oak and juicy black cherry.
Bogle Petite Sirah - Lodi, California @$9.99/btl
Full-bodied on the entry, aromas of black plum jam and toasty oak set the stage for what is to come. Vibrant boysenberries and luscious fruit are framed by serious tannins, while wisps of leather and vanilla seduce just enough. A final touch of acidity finishes the wine with a precisely balanced mouthfeel.
Castillo De Molina Chardonnay - Casablanca Valley, Chile @$9.99/btl
This Chardonnay shows strong aromatic intensity, toasted, oak and butter notes stand out, framed with intense delicate and elegant fruit and citric notes that are unique to the Casablanca valley. The palate is in agreement with the aromas; the attack starts with toasted oak, accompanied by medium acidity, a prolonged permanence that finishes gently with a mouthful of fruit. This is a round, medium-bodied wine. It can be stored for two to three years.
Chateau Ste Michelle Gewurtraminer - Columbia Valley, Washington State @ $9.99/btl
"This Gewürztraminer is such an enjoyable wine with exuberant fruit and clove spice. This is a lush style of Gewürztraminer with a lot of floral character, yet it still maintains the grape’s natural crisp character. A touch of Muscat offers citrus notes and a deeper spice character. Try this wine with Thai food or any cuisine with a little “bite” to it.”
James Machino from Ben Arnold Beverage co, will pour following wines,
Natura Organic Wines: Each variety reasonably priced at $7.99 per bottle.
Cabernet Sauvignon: Intense ruby-red in color with great depth and brilliance. The nose is dominated by red fruit such as ripe strawberries and blackberries with a light touch of toast, vanilla, and toffee from the oak. The palate is soft and silky with big body and a long, flavor-filled finish.
Chardonnay: Clean and transparent light yellow in color with fresh aromas of citrus fruits such as grapefruit and limes blended with light aromas of tropical fruit such as pineapple. The citrus and tropical fruit reappear on the fresh and juicy palate along with light notes of walnuts and chestnuts. Nicely balanced with a good finish.
Merlot: Intense ruby-red in color with great depth and brilliance. The nose is dominated by red fruit (berries) and complemented with a touch of toast, vanilla, cocoa, butter, and toffee from the oak. The palate presents good body and is silky, velvety, and well-balanced due to its ripe tannins. This tremendously flavorful wine achieves a perfect balance between the fruit and the use of French oak and ends with a long finish.
Sauvignon Blanc: Clean, clear, light yellow in color with a complex nose that features aromas of boxwood, herbs blended with citrus fruits such as lime and grapefruit. The boxwood and grapefruit reappear on the palate to highlight its freshness. This is a bright, pleasing wine with nicely balanced acidity and good persistence.
Cary White from Grapevine distributors will pour following wines,
Lamplighter California Merlot: was $14.99 now at $6.99
The 2008 LampLighter California Merlot offers a classic merlot profile of bright cherries, ripe
Plums, red currants and vanilla oak with hints of cassis and spice on the finish. A touch of
cabernet franc enhances the berry flavors while keeping the tannins elegant and the mouthfeel
balanced. This is an incredibly enjoyable Merlot delivering a classic California fruit forwardness with a sophisticated and well-layered character not found in wines at this price.
Lamplighter California Cabernet Sauvignon: was $14.99 now at $6.99
The 2008 LampLighter California Cabernet Sauvignon presents darker berries on the nose, but
the flavors are surprisingly bright with blueberries, ripe strawberries, and subtle spice on the palate.
The toasted oak character sits in the background allowing the spotlight to be on the fruit. Tannins are
soft but structured, and there is a nice balance of acidity. This is a great, accessible Cabernet
Sauvignon that can be enjoyed on its own easily, but will pair will with a broad range of meat dishes
and Mediterranean flavors.
Lamplighter California Chardonnay: was $14.99 now at $6.99
The 2009 LampLighter California Chardonnay benefited from a wonderful vintage in
California, both in quantity and quality. Beautiful citrus flavors balance against slightly softer
tropical fruit and honey apricot notes. The heavy oak or butter on our Chardonnay is a part of a classic California style. The fruit and balanced acid are the heroes in this enjoyable wine, but there is just enough vanilla oak and creaminess to please everyone at the party. We recommend chilling before serving.
In addition to wines we will also be tasting following Liquors:
Seven Tiki Spiced Rum: The world’s finest, most exclusive spiced rum derived from high quality sugarcane, sun-baked Indonesian nutmeg, Madagascar vanilla beans, other exotic spices and natural water. A product of Fiji, it has hints of oak and vanilla on the nose with flavors of fresh sugar cane, Polynesian fruit, coffee and chocolate that are accompanied by a very smooth and well-rounded mouth feel.
Cazadores Reposado Tequila: Cazadores is made from 100% Blue Agave from the Highlands of Jalisco, the premier agave growing region in the world. The Cazadores Paloma is a traditional Mexican drink, comprised of Cazadores Reposado tequila and grapefruit soda.
Bacardi Torched Cherry: The world’s #1 rum producer introduces its newest flavor, Bacardi Torched Cherry. It is derived from Barbados Cherry infused with Torched plant aloe. Pairs well with a variety of mixers, including cola, lemon-lime soda, lemonade and iced tea.
Grey Goose Le Citron: Crafted using the subtle, tart flavor that can only be drawn from the Menton Lemon, native to the French town for which it is named. Clean on the palate with fresh lemon notes and subtle fruitiness, indicative of the floral, zestiness of the fruit.
