"It's Not Too Late to Earn Your Degree" will be held at the Lexington Main Library (conference room #1) Tuesday, Oct. 28, 10-11:30 a.m. and Wednesday, Nov. 5, 6:30-8 p.m. These topics will be addressed: eligibility for financial aid and how to minimize student loan debt / earning credit for prior learning (from work, self-study, volunteering) / assessing career interests and skills / selecting a regionally-accredited college or university that best meets your needs plus saves you time and money / pros and cons of online learning / choosing the best major / importance of eventually earning a graduate degree / strategies in planning to achieve your goal of a degree. Each session will be conducted by Peter Balsamo, a retired academic administrator with more than 35 years experience.
