NASCAR driver and car owner Kyle Petty is coming to Columbia International University on Wednesday, May 9, and we invite you to join us. At this noon luncheon, Mr. Petty will share lessons from his faith and life experiences that will encourage and inspire guests.
Kyle Petty followed in the footsteps of his legendary father Richard Petty by making his Sprint Cup debut in 1979. While the younger Petty has made his mark by starting in 829 races, he is also well-known for his philanthropy. He is the founder of the Kyle Petty Charity Ride Across America and Victory Junction Gang Camp, created to benefit children with chronic or life threatening illness.
Proceeds from the luncheon benefit CIU's first-ever intercollegiate athletic program that begins competition this fall. Money raised will complete construction of our athletic fields, as well as provide financial aid for student-athletes. Please mark your calendar for May 9 to hear how athletics open an entirely new "mission field" for CIU.
