The Love for a Cure tournament is an event that helps raise money for the Lexington Medical Center Foundation "Cancer Fund".
With more than 1,000 cancer diagnoses each year at the Lexington Medical Center, there is no doubt that cancer is a growing issue in our community, affecting our friends and loved ones throughout the Midlands.
Love for a Cure is done in Memory of Jay Crisione.
Jay Criscione, (January 28, 1948 – July 29, 2009) former Executive Director for the Lexington County Recreation & Aging Commission set in to motion the development of the new Cayce Tennis and Fitness Center located off I-77 exit #2. Jay believed that the success of the Lexington County Tennis Complex along with the opening of the Cayce Tennis and Fitness Center would give the Midlands state-of-the art venues for hosting first class tournaments and events which would economically affect the community.
Proceeds will support survivors through the Lexington Medical Center Foundation Cancer Fund.
