The featured wines we will have for tasting are:

Cary White from Grapewine Distributors will pour following wines,

Belpoggio - Verdicchio priced at $6.99/bottle.

From the Marche region in Northern Italy, 100% Verdicchio. Hints of green apple, grapefruit, kiwi and elegantly floral notes of acacia and mimosa. Full-bodied with good balance and a lingering aftertaste of green apple and pleasantly, fresh almonds.

Artisan Sonoma Pinot Noir priced at $9.99/bottle.

In the glass, aromas of fresh strawberry and plum are immediately apparent, punctuated by hints of earth and sweet tobacco. The palate echoes the nose, with layered flavors of strawberry and plum joined by cocoa powder and espresso bean. A subtle earthiness leads to a fleshy mid-palate and a smooth, mineral-laced finish.

Toolbox Napa Valley Merlot priced at $7.99/bottle.

Full mouth feel that gives a true picture of what Merlot can be. There are aromas of chocolate and a sweet, juicy entry reminiscent of cherry lifesavers. The dusty earthiness is balanced by integrated tannins making it a rounded wine with enough juiciness to invite grilled food and enough richness to beg for braised dishes.

Along with these selected wines Cary will also have Lamplighter varieties which you will be able to taste. Lamplighter wines are priced at $6.99 per bottle.

We will also have Wine Specialist: Josh Taylor from Carolina Craft pouring following wines,

Zolo - Bonarda – Argentina priced at $9.99/bottle.

Soft and very friendly, with easygoing plum and raspberry fruit and a silky finish.

Zolo – Malbec – Argentina priced at $9.99/bottle.

Very ripe and juicy, with lush crushed plum, fig sauce and macerated black cherry fruit flavors gliding over rounded structure. The finish is long, creamy and toasty.

Butterfield Station - Shiraz – California priced at $6.99.

Black cherry, cola and toasty oak flavors have good intensity and modest structure.

Razor’s Edge - Cabernet Sauvignon – Australia priced at $10.99/bottle.

The Razor’s Edge Cabernet Sauvignon offers an array of harmonious flavors including blackcurrant, beetroot, cloves and roasted chestnut. This is a wine of seamless integration and finely grained tannin structure.

Lamadrid - Cabernet Sauvignon – Argentina priced at $10.99/bottle.

"Best Buy," Wine Enthusiast.

89 points ('08), Wine Spectator:” A very ripe, polished style, with flattering fig, licorice and fruitcake notes that glide through the velvety finish. A crowd pleaser.”

IL Bastardo - Red Blend – Italy priced at $7.99/bottle.

The winery is located in the Rufina area of Tuscany just 20 km's outside of Florence in the Sieve River Valley and considered the best area for Sangiovese grapes after the "Classico" Region. Our consulting winemaker, Paolo Masi macerates the skin in stainless steel for 10 days creating a brightly colored fruit forward wine. Dark Ruby red color, aromatic nose, with black berry and cherry aromas and flavors. On the palate it is medium bodied with good tannis and overall Chianti like fruit finish.

Manos Negras - Pinot Noir – Argentina priced at $12.99/bottle.

91 points ('07), Wilfred Wong: Medium crimson color; dried strawberry, delicate, tomato seeds, elegant, persistent dried flowers, dried leaf, well-defined, pinpoint, medium-bodied, zippy, haunting, dried strawberry, light dust, cranberry, persistent sweet tannins, lingering finish.”

M. CHAPOUTIER - Côtes du Roussillon-Bila-Haut 2008 – France priced at $12.99/bottle.

This muscular red shows concentrated flavors of dark cherry, plum, raspberry tart and grilled fig. The dense finish of dark chocolate is firm and focused, with smoky notes. Best from 2010 through 2014.
