Purple Martins Need You!

Come learn about Purple Martins and how to become a Purple Martin landlord by setting up a gourd colony. The purple martins you see roosting at Bomb Island on Lake Murray every summer are totally dependent on humans to provide nesting habitats for them. You can help by setting up a gourd colony on your property if you have the right conditions. Come learn about the martins and determine if you are a candidate for becoming a landlord. A representative from the Purple Martin Conservation Association will be with us.
