SC Confederate Relic Room & Military Museum - Celebrating 120 Years - June 24 & 25
Since 1896, the SC Confederate Relic Room and Military Museum's mission has been to educate South Carolinians about their state's rich tradition of military history, and this month marks the institution's 120th anniversary. The museum has two events planned to celebrate this historic time:
June 24 - Curator of Education Joe Long will speak about the museum's history as part of its Lunch and Learn series. The lecture begins at noon and is free to attend.
June 25 - Admission is free all day, with free museum tours offered throughout the day. Living historians, representing the Civil War through modern day, will be on hand to interact with guests and showcase their military history collections.
