SC State Far

Organized in 1869, the South Carolina State Fair continues to keep its very important agricultural roots alive, while offering fun, food, education and great competitive exhibit opportunities for all.

Each October, people of all ages come to Columbia to participate in the South Carolina State Fair, one of the TOP 50 Fairs in the United States. Exhibits as well as livestock competitions and entertainment draw both rural and urban crowds.

Location

I-26 East from Greenville / Spartanburg:

  1. Follow I-26 to I-126 all the way to Columbia.
  2. Where I-126 ends, take the Elmwood Exit.
  3. Go to second traffic light. Turn right at the McDonald's onto Assembly Street.
  4. Travel approximately two (2) miles; look for the Fairgrounds marquee on the right.

I-26 West from Charleston:

  1. From I-26 take I-77 North.
  2. Travel to Exit #5, Bluff Road.
  3. Take Bluff Road exit and turn left onto Bluff Road.
  4. Travel approximately three (3) miles to the traffic light by Williams Brice Stadium; the Fairgrounds will be on the right past the light.
