The Greater Lexington Chamber and Consultants of Carolina are presenting a monthly small business development series beginning in August. Titled “Small Business, Big Opportunity,” the series will provide educational and development sessions on topics including human resources, finances, bookkeeping, technology, legal issues, strategy and growth, and marketing and sales. Entirely non-commercial, with no infomercials allowed, the series will begin on a pilot basis on the second Thursday of each month. Following are details about the coming session:
September 13: “When Social Media and Employment Collide.” Presented by William Floyd and Nikole Mergo of Nexsen Pruet

All sessions will be in the Chamber Conference Room and lunch will be served. Attendees are asked to arrive at 11:30 a.m.; sessions begin at noon and last 45-60 minutes.
Cost is $15 for members and $20 for non-members, and includes lunch and session materials.
