MEDIA ADVISORY For Immediate Release February 12, 2015 2015 Spring Garden Tour and Plant Woodford County Versailles, Kentucky Contact: Carol Duffy 859-879-6782 Spring Garden Tour and Plant Sale Date Announced A project to support Coats and Shoes for Woodford County Children The 2015 Woodford County Woman's Club Spring Garden Tour and Plant Sale will be held Saturday, May 30th (Rain or Shine) from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. This spring's tour will feature eight wonderfully diverse gardens in Versailles and Woodford County. The gardens on this tour are located in both town and country. You will have an opportunity to view a formal English garden, a classic peony garden, a hellebore garden and a newly established berry garden. You will visit intimate town gardens and a shade loving cottage garden with a quaint garden shed. Another garden on the tour will feature KOI ponds connected by a waterfall and stream, a rock garden, a variety of garden rooms and unusual conifer plantings. You will visit a garden with a working labyrinth surrounded by a variety of perennials, vegetable gardens with a wide variety of plantings and a colorful wildflower garden. A special opportunity is awaiting you to travel along winding tree lined avenues to view award winning perennial beds on a well-known horse farm. Another stop on the tour you will discover a lovely formal designed entry garden along with a naturalistic side and back garden designed to have a meadow feel and then experience a unique, wonderful home tour on this 1800?s distillery site. Before, during or after the tour stop by the Little House at 247 Lexington Avenue and visit our Garden Plant Sale. This is a special garden tour you do not want to miss! A portion of the proceeds from the Garden Tour will benefit Coats and Shoes for Kids Project for our Woodford County Children and other Woodford County Charities.
