The South Carolina Storytelling Network will present a free storytelling event April 9 on the grounds of the Lexington County Museum. Stories about South Carolina history and the Gullah and Native American cultures will be told. So will fairy tales and “Bold Faced Lies.” Listeners of all ages will find the stories entertaining.
Visitors are welcome to bring lawn chairs or blankets to enjoy the event, scheduled for 1-3:30 p.m. Cameras and bottled water are allowed; coolers aren’t. There is no charge for museum admission; guided tours are $5 for adults and $2 for children. In case of rain, the storytelling will proceed to the museum’s porches.
