The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department will have a Book Sale Friday, Sept. 3, at its headquarters at 521 Gibson Road. Books will be sold for $1 each. Proceeds will benefit the United Way.
The sale, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the Squad Room, will include a variety of genres: cookbooks, reference, children’s, mysteries, fiction, non-fiction, self help, teaching, religion, and romance. Residents are invited to donate books to the sale by delivering them to the LCSD by Sept. 1. For more information, call Sandy Paavel at 785-2535.
