Writing and Submitting Short Stories for Publication. Would you like to become a published author? Have you considered starting out or building your career by writing short stories? You can write a short story in a shorter time than a novel; you don't need an agent to submit; and you hear quickly if your story has been accepted or rejected. Also, publishing short stories gives you writing credits and helps you become known to editors. This workshop will provide a brief introduction to writing short stories (concentrating on mystery, fantasy, romance, and other genres) and provide attendees with marketing information and strategies.
